I was born in 1940 at Flinthouse, Lakesend. I attended the local village school until we moved to March when I was eight; I then attended school at the Burrowmoor and the Hereward. I worked at the local jewellers shop until I married and had a family. We had four children and I helped my husband with his business while the children were growing up. I then started my own antique and second hand business; this then progressed into a china and gift shop.

I started to paint in 1990 on a painting holiday where I painted flowers in water colour. In 1998 I started to use acrylics and in 2003 I qualified as an OSCI. In 2004 I retired and I now spend many relaxing hours doing what I love to do, PAINT.
